Sometime during May/June time the GTiR Owners Club are meeting up with Revs (UK magazine) to burn it up all day around the Three Sisters Race circuit in Wigan, here's what Neil @ Revs had to say;
'You can burn it up all day
long on a track with yer mates and we'll teach you lot how to drive too!
How would this sound?: Cos you lot are nice boys and the Sunny is the bad
boy of the moment we (well me anyway) wanna give you guys more than just a
poxy rolling road day. We've used Three Sisters Race circuit near Wigan
before and it'd suit the GTiR perfectly. It's fast and twisty as well as
having some sharp bends and up and down hill sections. Racing will be very
close and the boys that have fitted decent brakes will love it and find out
just how well their money's been spent.
I've sat down and worled out some numbers and I reckon if we charged you
lot £40 each for a full days racing including breifing, helmet hire and any
amount of tuition from Dave Clark you need you guys would have a blast. I
hate the thought of making money out of this so we wont be making a penny
it all goes on the cost of the track hire and shooting the feature for the
mag. If you guys wanna come up we'd need a definate 25 cars guaranteed
Alternatively if you don't think you can
get that many people why not make it 20 cars at £50 each? It's up to you
mate but either way I absolutely guarantee you wouldn't moan at £50 for a
days unlimited track time, it is the best value you'll ever get - look
around and tell me anywhere cheaper!
So I've gone out on a limb here to do this for ya - do me a favour now.
Have a word with yer boyz, if there's enough interest then we're well up
for it with you lot, you all sound keen enough thats for sure. How much
notice do you lot need? We normally only give about a month, would that be
enough or do you need more? I know people need to get days off work.'
So there you have it, what an invitation, who's interested?
If you're interested then email me your details to gtirownersclub@yahoo.com and I'll add you to the growing list.
